ECA, Dubai

AR ECA Dubai is an immersive augmented reality experience developed to support the mission of the Early Childhood Authority: to promote children’s well-being from pregnancy through early childhood. The project is based on a vision and creative direction already well defined by the client, focusing on translating these requirements into a coherent, functional digital experience aligned with the exhibition context.

My role in the project

In this project, I worked as the bridge between the client and the development team: - aligned expectations and deliverables across the different teams - designed the application interface based on the existing references - adapted the experience to the defined creative directions - followed the project throughout the development phases

Overview

The Early Childhood Authority (ECA) sought to create an interactive experience that would communicate educational content in a more engaging way in the physical space. With the concepts and narrative previously defined, the challenge became ensuring their proper implementation in a digital environment and in augmented reality.

Problem

Although the client had a clear vision, it was necessary to ensure consistency across the different elements of the project (from 3D to the interface) and to guarantee that the final experience was intuitive and true to the original concept.

Challenge

Ensure the translation of client requirements into a cohesive and functional digital experience. Ensure alignment between creative direction, 3D modeling, development, and user experience. - Client management and project follow-up - Translation of requirements into digital deliverables - Coordination with the 3D modeling and development team - Ensuring consistency with branding and visual references - Design of the application interface that supports the experience - Management of feedback and iterations between client and team

Process

The project was carried out with a focus on execution and continuous alignment between teams.

  1. Initial alignment
Collection and analysis of the requirements defined by the client.

  2. Coordination
Monitoring the 3D modeling team to ensure visual consistency and compliance with the guidelines.

  3. Interface design
Design of the application that supports the augmented reality experience.

  4. Iteration
Management of feedback between the client, design team, and development.

  5. Final delivery
Validation of the experience in a real-world context.

Impact & Learnings

The project resulted in an experience aligned with ECA’s objectives, ensuring more effective communication of its content. Through close management and an iterative process, it was possible to ensure quality, consistency, and a final delivery aligned with the client’s expectations.
